The Bot flies into the third dimension! The structure for the head and main body was made by carving foam. The legs are pool noodles with foam overlays. Wood rods are at the core of the body, arms, and legs for reinforcement. The eyes sockets are cut 3" PVC pipe and the lenses for the eyes and chest are made from a cut up recycled Sterilite drawer top. The buttons are a sharpied cut up ice cube tray. I used LED tea lights so I made sure to leave cavities in each part of the light up sections. Next on the list was to duct tape the structure for a strong membrane under the finishing layers. I used drywall mesh tape to cover it after that. The finished layer was made with Paper Mache clay and painted with Behr sample paint from Home Depot. Cellophane was used for the flames.
