This is my first sculpture! The Little Demon has to come to life and drank too much lava! The structure was made by carving foam and has a wood rod through the body. The tail is made from a cut and manipulated pool noodle. I created a cavity for the battery pack in the mouth and had the LED strip installed before moving past this step. Next on the list was to duct tape the structure for a strong membrane under the finishing layers. I used drywall mesh tape to cover it after that. The finished layer was made with Paper Mache clay and painted with Behr sample paint from Home Depot. I cut up a recycled Sterilite drawer top for the eyes, hot glue for the tears, and cellophane for the lava throw up.
